We were wondering if we should get a tricycle or a bicycle for our 2 year old boy initially and chanced upon this bike on amazon. It is an excellent purchase for us.

1) The bike is sturdy and does not topple easily.
2) The push handle allows parents to steer the bike if needed. This is really a "plus plus" point for parent with a young kid.
3) The height of the seat can be adjusted and training wheels and the push handle can be removed once the child can cycle on his own.

Our boy is in the 50th percentile in terms of height and he can easily put his legs on the pedals. We need to push him a little with the handle bar but he has started to pedal as soon as his second attempt on his bike. Right now, he tries to stand on the pedals occasionally imitating grown ups. With a helmet and proper guidance, it is a safe and excellent bike for a child to pick up proper cycling skills.

Overall, we are please with the bike. It is easy to assemble and was shipped to us on Thanksgiving Day. The price is slightly higher than other bikes or trikes but it is likely to last till our boy is 4 - 5 years old. It is worthwhile and we would definitely recommend it to other families.

I just got this bike for my son 4th birthday. It's a functional bike since you can remove the training wheels and the push handle, and adjust the seat height. So far,I'm happy with this bike. However, the water bottle stinks with plastic. It's better to throw out that cup and use a better quality cup, you don't want your child to drink the chemical coming from that cheap thing. Happy purchase and a great deal with free shipping.

This bike has been so much fun for our little boy(3 yrs old) since he recieved it for Christmas. He loves riding it. Its just the right size, but he has plenty of room to grow with the seat & handle bar adjustments. We love that it has the handle so we can push and steer the bike if he gets tired. Although if he fights the steering (say by insisting he rides in the grass but instead we keep him on the sidewalk)we do have to straighten the handle bars when we get home. The only negative is that the handle sticking up in back makes it difficult for him to swing his leg over to get on or off. But once he's riding well on his own we'll be able to remove the bar & it won't be an issue.
